If you live in low-income public housing or have a Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8), this website will help you send a letter to the housing authority to report a change in your income and request that your rent be recalculated.

To help you create this letter, you will be asked for your name, address, email address, telephone number, and information about your housing authority.

The information that you give will be saved in the Connecticut Fair Housing Center’s files in case you call us for help in the future.

We will not give any of your information to anyone unless you ask us to.

General terms

The Connecticut Fair Housing Center, Inc. ("the Center") is a non-profit corporation that provides this website as a free service to Connecticut residents who are:

  • Individuals who live in public, elderly, disabled, or subsidized housing, or have a RAP or Section-8 voucher,
  • Advocates acting on behalf of such individuals on a not-for-profit basis, or
  • Lawyers and their staff giving not-for-profit or reduced-fee legal help to such individuals.

When you use this website you agree to all of the terms listed below. Please read them carefully. Also check this page periodically because the Center may update these terms. All updates become effective when posted.
